Code from vin # does not work,, dealer tried running radio serial # but no luck. Can anybody help? :(

This might be worth a try...no guarantees.
Try the following code sequences;
25X5, where the X will be digits 1 thru 0.
It will take some time to go through them all since you have
the 2 hour wait after 3 attempts, but many codes for the SC810's
begin with 25 and end with 5 (the two I've owned were 2525 and 2565.)

If you disconnect the battery without turning the radio 100% off (turn volume knob to the left all the way) chances are your radio's microchip will get screwy.

Only thing I can think of.
