drivers power seat stuck reclined all the way 850 1994

My wife used the memory button and what happened is that the seat reclined
all the way back, and now will not come back up. I can hear the motor engage
when I try to bring it back but after 10 seconds or so the motor stops. Is this
a cable or motor issue? Appreciate your help.

Do the procedure in Bay13. Sometimes the cable is not bad but has just pulled itself out of the motor or gear drive shaft. It is a little short. If so you can push it back in and devise some way like a shim to keep it from slipping out again.

Before putting the upholstery back you will probably have to "calibrate" the seat so the range of motor motion corresponds with the range of seat back motion. There are previous posts on this site as to how you can do it.

Hi any way to repair the cable?

So the seat doesn't move at all, or does the seat swing no longer swing in the right area?

The seat will move back and forth and up and down, but the seat back is
stuck in the fully reclined positon. I can hear the motor turning but it
does not move the seat back up.
      Thank you
