Recall for ETM Throttle system V70-XC70 2000

Has there been a recall for the ETM throttle system that is applicable to a 2000 Volvo V70 XC?

My ETM throttle system failed and required replacment of the throttle body and reprograming at 105,000 miles about two months ago.

If there is related recall I plan to ask my dealer for reimbursement of the repair costs.

    THe latest issue of Rolling Magazine (from VCOA) reports that Volvo will reimburse owners who paid for the replacement of the ETM.

    No info available beyond this.

      I read that too, but found that it is only in Europe....USA needs to follow suit, but they aren't yet.

    There isn't any recall, yet. I had to have this done at 81K and I am still poed about it. This component should last the life of the car and the older butterfly plate with position sensor, while being much cheaper to repair, would last forever.

    One thing to take note of, the ETM is part of the cars emissions control and each state has a different mileage/time limit for the this warranty period. In the case of Connecticut, it's 80K.

      I had the throttle body replaced in Connecticut at less than 80k and was charged
      about $950. Can I get that reimbursed? Thanks

        i think i'd complain. they use a different terminology when they describe the parts covered under the emissions warranty. i think the etm is covered. if they balk, you may want to go to the epa.
