ABS Control Unit Power Wiring Deterioriated 850

I removed the ABS Control Unit for repair, as it sounds like most of you have too. It came out easily. I noticed the wiring on the small set of cables - I think the power wires, the ones that feed into what I guess is the ABS hydraulic modulator - have badly deteriorated insulation. The wires aren't frayed or corroded, but now have been disturbed and lost most of the sheathing. They will short. Anyone else experience this? Ideally, I need to get into the round black plastic housing on the modulator if it is serviceable.

ABS Control Unit Power Wiring Deterioriated 850

I have a 96 850 and the speedomoter stopped working and the abs, tracs and check engine light were on. When I went to remove the abs module to repace it the connector has started to melt and the power wire was completely melted. So I had to get a new connector from a junk yard from a 96 850 and solder each wire and shrink wrap it. What a fun job!
afetr That I replaced the abs module and hooked it up and no more lights and the speedo worked!
    Thanks
    Dennis
