A1 DTC Code 850 1995

Just did my monthly check of code on the ol' '95 855T. All clear except one pulled off of A1 Socket

124 Mode selector faulty or short circuit to ground.

What does this mean and what needs to be done to correct it? Is it serious? Does it need to be fixed and if so, what time frame?

Just clear it. If it comes back then you will have to dig into the problem. Usually happens when you shift to quickly from R to D and back.
