brake fluid leak 850

Greetings,

Just saw a post regarding brake fluid leaking from ABS pump/manifold. I have had this leak for almost a year and at $2100.00 for the part, I find it a bit steep to replace. (Brake fluid is cheap ) My question is, has anybody out there fixed a leaky pump/manifold or found the reason for leaks? Any help would be great!

Thanks,

Geoff

I had the same problem but upon closer inspection before buying the part I discovered that it was simply the lines that attach into the abs pump having come loose. Tightening them resolved the leak.
Good luck

Very difficult without removing components but I found that it didn't need to be turned very far so an open-end wrench from above and a lot of patience did the trick.

How did you get the flare nut wrench in there to tighten the lose connector ? It is very tight space and difficult to put a wrench in that area ??

Thanks,

Hi. Are you sure it's the ABS pump leaking?
My '94T leaked from "brake pressure regulator" that connects just after master cylinder.
$200 part,a couple hrs.labor;w/bleeding system.
Cannot be repaired,must be replaced.
