I need to replace both trunk strut. The dealer is charging almost 100$CDN each.
Anyone know if there is a cheaper solution like using 850 trunks strut wich are much cheaper. Will they fit ?

I was disappointed with the lift supports I purchased from FPCGroton - I paid about $40 US for the pair. The first one bent within 30 days so I replaced it with a German made unit that I purchased at my local import parts store for $46US (for one). Then 2 weeks later the second FPCGroton unit bent and I bought another one from the local store for another $46 US. These newest supports are continue to work well. They cost me $92 for the pair from a local parts store.
I have purchased many parts from FPCGroton over the years and these were the first parts from them that I have been disappointed with.................

I just replaced mine with struts from FCPGroton, $25 each. They seem to be a bit too strong, not enough dampening when opening. You need to watch your chin when opening the hatch. No bending yet....
