Help!
I bought a used factory subwoofer for my '01 V70 T5 from another V70 T5 owner who didn't know it was even in the car, screemin' deal. . .but doesn't the car come with a harness from the factory? I bought the car used last summer, went to install it (anybody got pix out there? no instuctions.) Looks like the harness was clipped to me, electrical tape and connectors are around. Bought the car from IPD, Volvo freak since '79. Can someone offer some advice,

    Hello
    Volvo 850 sedan uses a pair of 6X9 for subwoofer aplication, using the trunk as a baffle (box). An the signal comes already amplified at the connection of the speakers. (1)The factory subwoofer for V70 comes in a box? (2)How many cables goes into the subwoofer? By the way the manufacturer of the audio system for volvo is almost always Alpine. Get me the info. So I can help you better. RSC

      Good evening,
      Got back tonite from the seller's house. The woofer came mounted on a factory "board," the rear panel of the back of the wagon. We found that the harness looks like it runs to the fuse panel on the driver's side rear. (possibly up to the head unit.) It connects to the speakers in the very back rear pillars, then the the plug goes to the amp. There was a bracket attached to the brace holding down the battery, I traded him the plastic "nut" holding down the spare tire. There is also a piece of styro that will hold the jack and tools. I'll send you the harness part number, am going to order it from the dealer, was about $48.00. The guy was going to tear his car apart to grab the harness, I bought the sub for $300.00
