850 dashboard thermometer questions 850

does anybody know where the sensor for the thermometor on the dashboard is located? Can it be recalibrated? Mine reads about 2-degrees C more than the actual air tempurature.
any hel would be appreciated,

The sensor's only about 10 in above the road surface so it's going to be a little high on a hot day.

The sensor is located up front under the bumper.It cannot be recalibrated. It sounds to me like it is working correctly. That system is supposed to read road temp (in case of icing). It is real hot here and mine usually reads 5 to 7 degrees f.above ambient temp.
