Oil Change S60 2001

I do my own oil changes and I recently bought an '01 S60. How do you set the "Service" light on the dashboard. A dealer service department told me it has to be done in the car's computer???

I had an 03 which may not be the same. But I called Volvo North America and after some wrangling they told me how to clear it. Unfortunately I don't remember how to do it but would suggest you try them too. The service department will never give you the straight story on these things. They want you to think it's rocket science.

I own a S70. I am not sure if re-setting can be done manually but I think there are Error Code Readers (minimum cost) in the market which allow you to re-set the lamp.
