interference engines? 850 1997

Does brickboard have a link to finding out about particular years and models and whether they have interference engines? I'm looking at a '97 850 non-turbo.

    Then all Volvo engines sold in the USA since 1993 have been interference engines.

    (If you're not in the USA but rather in a less-developed country where high octane gas isn't always available, and the non-turbo in question is a 10 valve, not our 20 valve motor, I hear that some have low enough compresion ratios that they're not interference engines. But if you're in the USA, or the motor has 20 valves, yes, it's an interference engine!)

    The engine in the '97 850 is an interference engine as are all the "white" engines.
