Throttle Position Sensor 850

Does anyone have any advice on Faults relating to Throttle Position Sensors (TPS).I have had codes 2-2-3 (TPS sensor signal too low ) and a 4-1-1 ( TPS signal from fuel ingection system faulty or missing).
The 2-2-3 code is from the A1 socket(Transmission) and the 4--1-1 code is from the A6 socket(Ignition).I have tried un clipping the contacts and cleaning the with contact cleaner as suggested but no joy.I have purchased a new unit but I am unsure if this is the solution.
The orange arrow flashes along with the green light on the economy/sport switch, and when flashing I am pretty sure the sport function is not available.
I have also reset all codes from the engine bay and these ones have returned like an unwanted relative.

I anticipate anyones response , and appreciate the effort.

Si, The tranny flashing is due to the fact that it is not receiving the appropriate signal from the TPS. A properly functioning TPS (in conjunction with vehicle speed sensor, and probably other sensors) tells the tranny what gear to select. The faulty TPS is confusing the tranny and setting the codes.

      BB,

After all the conflicting opinions , in relation to problems with the TPS < I decided to remove the unit and give it a good squirt with contact cleaner . Didn't fix the fault right away but after a little drive I think the fault has ceased.
The arrow hasen't come on at all so far after the contact cleaner remedy, but then I replaced the TPS with a second hand unit, No drama's . I have a spare.
I haven't checked the A1 socket but I'm confident the fault has been rectified.
What a contract.I'm full bottle on TPS's now!

      Regards,
