Just finished reassembling the car. Changed turbo, many different lines and hoses. I can smell fuel from the tail pipe and all seems in order. Only wire I actually d/c'd was the coil wire. A few plugs yes, but no spark. Any idea on what I did or need to do. Thanks for input.

    Make sure the coil wire is seated firmly. Try grounding the coil wire when the starter is engaged. A spark there would be good! Always check your codes. Recheck all of the sensors you unplugged and make sure they are tight.

      Klaus:

      Actually it was the CPS terminal next to the engine. The sensor must be the original as the plug in was literally toast. Pieces. Anyway, I realigned them, used some top of the line 3M tape and it runs. Will want to replace it as this is a patch job.

      BTW, the new used turbo from Pinkeys works just fine and so far no leaks. This was a major go through. Not timing belt, but just about everything else.

      Wife is happy as our 38th is Friday and I won't be under the car quite as much.

    As I recently found out spark on start is controled by cam position sensor. Did it get disconnected in all you did?

    Check for codes - ignition is the A6 socket. Check here for info on any codes you get:

      Thanks, will look this evening. I had all the hoses apart for changing and may have unhooked the wire??? Anyway, will check it out. I remember seeing the plastic plate but never looked for or at the wire from the plate.
