I have a battery drainage problem, As soon as I connect the battery I can hear a solenoid ingage inside the tranny and it draws 6 amps, meaning that by the morning my battery is dead. Now does anybody know what drives that solenoid? It is under 10 amp fuse labeled TCM, I think it means Traction Control Module. I assume that eather the solenoid is grounded or the driver supplies full voltage to this solenoid. If I pull the fuse the car still runs, but in "limp home mode" only one gear. Any toughts?

tcm= transmission control module
there should be no more than 0.1 - 0.2 amp drain with vehicle locked and left for about 10 minutes (it can take this long for electronic systems on car to shut down after car is locked.)
if there is problem with auto trans then there should be some driving symptom or the warning light should stay on the dash. however your battery should not be going flat overnight...but from your description this sounds like a problem best left to your dealer.

steve,
