Gas Milage 850 1995

I have a 1995 850 Turbo. How many miles should I be getting to the tank? I have read some places that some are getting about 400 or somthing like that but I only get about 325 at the most. Sometimes I am able to stretch it but not that often. I am just wondering what other people are getting. And can anyone offer me a good place to get some repair work done on my car in the Bay Area of California. I know of some places but I am not sure. Also it would be nice if it was not too high in price.

Thanks
Chris

all highway doing an easy 65mph I can get 27mpg. at 80 goes down to 23mpg. combined highway an city about 20-21mpg. 17 gals times 21mpg =357miles/tank. my car is all tuned up real nice.

I thought tank was 18 gal. 325/18 = ~ 18. That is low. The sticker estimates for your car are 19 city 26 hwy. I get around 400 mi, give or take, myself, doing mostly highway driving. Have you checked your computer to see what avg and instantaneous mpg's it is calculating? Most reliable is using your odometer and seeing how much you used since last fill up to calculate an avg mpg.

If you get 21mpg around town and drive until the gas light comes on (2 gal left), that is 16gal*21=336miles. On the highway, 16*25=400miles.
Find one of Tina's posts and ask her, via email, for a good garage.

I have a 96 850T with 102K miles. Average 38mpg with 60% highway--commute from 7,000 ft to 4,200 ft and back for work.

I guess your major expense is brake pads, not gasoline! ;-)

Wagon or sedan?
What part of the Bay Area? It's a big area!

I have a sedan. I live in the South Bay in San Jose. Anywhere in that area would be good or even farther. If it is a good place I would be willing to go the distance.
