Drive shaft eplacement - how difficult? 850

Hi, I am fairly ignorant of FWD stuff (I personally have a 240). A friend asked me to help him replace the right drive shaft because of ticking and hefty vibration on acceleration. This is happening when he turns left. How difficult is this job? What are the challenge points? We have access to air tools.

My personal skill level is moderate, I have replaced many parts of my 240, including strut cartridges, diferential pinoin seal, drive shaft center bearing, trailing arm bushings, control arm bushings, timing belt and tensioner, rear springs, and various sensors.

Thanks for your ideas!!!

Go for it. Not too bad. Check out Autozone for big socket on axle shaft. Leave brake caliper on until you lossen the nut so a person can apply brakes while trying to break nut free. Search out axle shafts on this board. I think you will find many posts on that.

Thanks. I didn't know what to search for.
