I have been chasing down a major oil leak. The shop checked it yesterday and here is what they said:
The oil trap is clogged which puts pressure on the entire system which will break seals in various places. What they advised was having the oil trap replaced which they said is about a $50 part but requires 5 hours of labor because its hard to get to. Also replacing something called flame traps and vacuum hoses.
I don't know much about cars, but does all of this sound legit? Anyone experienced this before?
Thanks in advance!
