Did the 90k service myself (for the most part). Our best experiences (w.r.to dealers) have been with the Volvo of Lisle dealer; no clear idea how expensive w.r.to others but great job all the time. If you are close to Oak Park, try the IM at Madison, two blocks west of Oak Park Avenue. We have had great experiences with them too (although about as expensive as the Volvo/Lisle dealer).

Good luck

You can also do a search on car-talk.com (Click and Clack the Tappett brother's of NPR Radio program) for Mechanic recommendations. May cross ref a mechanic that was recommended here and see another recommendations. You enter your zip code into the upper left hand corner of their website.

Where in Chicago? If on the far west side, Shepard in Oak Park has a good rep. Orloff is good but real expensive, everyone I know hates Grossinger.

Consider an IM. I have used European House of Import Auto Repair, 773-761-3100, for almost 20 years.

Try clicking on the Features drop down button on the top of the page and then 'Shops', to search Illinois repair techs.

Others may also give suggestions here.

Depends on how much deferred maitenance you have, else it's just a 30k service.
BUT, at 90k often shocks, struts, strut mounts, O2 sensors, etc. may need to be replaced if they haven't been already. Part of why you want to find a good IM is somebody to stay on top of this stuff.

If it's just a 30k service, a couple of hundred $$ is a good, site unseen, guess.
