Where can I find a good deal on a code reader for OBD II?
Thanks!

Go to AutoZone. They will read the code for you for free and reset if required.

I am satisfied with my 3100 EQUUS OBDII CODE READER. It's sold all over the place. IPD sells it too, but fairly expensive. I did a quick search and this seems to be a good deal currently with free shipping: http://www.midwayautosupply.com/searchby.asp?txtSearch=EQU-3100
I can't vouch for this particular vendor though, have never ordered anything from them.

To get maximum information, if you have a laptop, you can get software and a cable for about the same price. Someone else might comment on that option, or search the forums.

Do NOT get the OBDII reader that sells for about $45 at Harborfreight - it doesn't work.

Second that on the Harbor Freight reader. It sells under the brand name "Creader." When I plugged it into my '98 S70 GLT to read the check engine light, it reported there were no error codes to be found. A friend had the same result with his S70, too. It will clear your codes and turn off the check engine light...but a lot of good that does you when you don't know what the codes were before they were cleared.
