Remote key Fob 850

After finally changing the batteries in my key fobs adn following the directions to reset them, I find that I can only get one to work. Each time I reset one, the other one stops working! I know you can have up to 4 key fobs that are active and somehow my car must think that I already have four different ones set up so it keeps dumping the last key fob entered. Is there any way to reset the system so that I fan program the two key fobs that I do actually have? Thanks for any help here.

Hi, To the best of my knowledge, the max number of remotes is three. If that is correct, it would explain you receiver not letting the fourth one in. Good luck, Brad

You must program both at the same time, you have to push a button on the second remote within i think 15 seconds of the first and it will program to the same code

If you program them correctly and they dont work, then a dealer can reset the alarm completely.

I suppose I was not doing somehting correctly...but I attempted the reset again and hit both buttons versus just one of them and made sure I was doing it well within the 15 seconds the manual says I have to accomplish the task and after hitting both buttons on each remote virtually one ofter another...it worked. Thanks for the input as I did not want to take my 1997 855 T-5 high-mileage club Volvo to the dealer for some simple, albeit in true Volvo style, expensive procedure! Thanks again for the input. dw
