$200 to spend at IPD- looking for suggestions. V70-XC70

Hi,

A few months back I submitted a pic. of my Subaru to IPD. Turns out I won the contest and IPD has since graciously presented me with a $200 gift cert. I have also recently purchase a 98 v70 AWD. Does anyone have some suggestions as to good choices in terms of what I should stock up on from IPD. I'm stuck on rear spoilers, but know I should plan for future failures on the V70 as that would be the "intelligent thing to do" right?!

How is that Astro Shield polish?
Thanks,
Mike

P.S. My 745 will be hitting ebay soon for all Canadian bidders!

Although more than $200...put the $$ towards the Anti-sways...best upgrade! Then strut-brace.

I agree with GordonN .. I purchased the front and rear swaybars for my 240 years ago and the car takes turns as if on rails and seems just solid as a rock.

I did the same with my 850 and the difference is like night and day.. I also added a OMP strut brace to the 850 and it handles just as well as the 240 although the 240 is a more fun drive whereas the 850 is a more comfortable drive :)

My 98 V70 XC is similar to your car, and I have ipd sway bars, strut tower brace, and Bilstein shocks. For the money, the sway bars would be my first purchase, followed soon by the strut brace. I really doubted the value of the strut brace, so held off for a long time, but the car truly feels much more solid and stable with it.
Enjoy!

GordonN:

You installed Bilsteins on XC70? Same part number on front as the standard V70 & V70AWD? Online lookups for shocks all seem to exclude the XC's.

Was looking for someone who had done it. Any problems during installation?
