I need an AT for the 95 850 GLT, and the local junkyard is about to put out a 94 940 GLT with AT, I was wondering if it is the same transmission.

No Totally different tranny. I doubt that it could be modified to work. The 850 is an Aisin Warner.

The 940 is a rear driver. No go.
