Cruise control crapped out S70 1998

Howdy y'all,
Looking for suggestions on diagnosing a failed cruise control - doesn't switch on (was working fine). Any idea what components are in the system, where they're located, and how to test each?

Before you start tearing things apart, this is a vacuum type system if it's the same as a 1998 V70. I had the same thing happen recently to mine. You will need to disconnect the battery and along the fender wall is a black tube thay may be broken or have holes in it as a result of battery acid. Patch this first then you can look at replacing the relay which is tne next problem potential. I only needed to fix the break and mine began to work again.

Could be a number of things...fuse, relay?, switch is broken? On my '94 850 the thing crapped out when it developed a leak in one of the hoses...get that checked too. Good luck.

I recently had trouble with my ETS and noticed that my cruise control didn't work while the ETS warning light was on.
