Dreaded evaporator change 850

I am going to attempt to change out the evaporator on my 1997 850. I have the Volvo service manual for the climate control. I know the entire dashboard has to be removed. I am concerned with removing the steering wheel/air bags. The steps in the climate control manual says to check the SRS(air bag) service manual which I don't have. I am not even sure how to get to the steering wheel nuts to remove the steering wheel. Any and all other tips from anyone will be greatly appreciated....Thanks!
