850 'stutter' at 1500rpm 850

My n/a 850 has developed an occassional stutter around 1500rpm, like it is struggling to fuel, but all is ok once you get to 2000rpm.

Some people suggest
1) Throttle position sensor (a pain to test as small and connector pointing towards engine)
2) HT leads/rotor starting to fail
3) new larger bore exhaust (with new o2 sensor) not giving enough back pressure

Any common problem that manifests itself like this before I start throwing money at things?

Spend $75 bucks and have a mechanic hook it up to the computer. It will tell whatever is wrong. It could be any number of things without seeing or looking at the car. You may have gotten a bad tank of gas too.

Start with the cheap stuff and then work to the expensive stuff.
