Seat removal and cleaning V70-XC70 1999

The family car is a 99 V-70 with 73K and I'd like to embark on two related projects.
First, remove the seats so I can clean the garbage out from under the seats and around the console properly.
Secondly, as the seats are cloth and vinyl, they've become stained and dirty and I'd like to clean them.

I've done this job on the 240's and it's relatively easy. Can anyone give me input about the job for the V-70. TIA

Disconnect the battery first V70-XC70 1999

Be careful of the SIPS. Leave the ground off the battery until everything is back inplace. Remember to write down your radio station presets!

I guess you really wanted me to disconnect the battery first! That I did. However, I did the disassembly this afternoon. Doesn't look like a difficult job, but it is a bit more involved than the 240 seats with a lot more hog rings to remove.

scrubbed the Bjesus out of an Escort interior I got from auction that was not cleaned in 10 years..........it cleaned up great with a good upholstery cleaner!
Why do you have to pull the seats AND the covers?

I just finished. Probably a 3-4 hour job including wash time. We got the car about a year ago and the PO got some distressing stains on the passenger seat that have constantly bothered me.
Since I had just done the seat removal, cover removal and washing with my 240's, I figured I could handle the job. And they did come out clean, but a heck of a lot more involved and difficult than the 240's. In the process, I was also able to do a good cleaning of the carpet area under the seat and adjacent to the console.
