hi the interia light will only go out if i slam the passenger door not if i close it quietley where is the switch and how do i fix it.

The interior light switch is integrated in the door latch assembly, inside the door. Volvo only offers the complete latch.

Check inside the door well, right around where the door hinges. You should see a little button that you can push in. That is it.
