What tool to use on inner tie-rod S70 1998

Thanks for the response to my last post on this. I was wondering what tool is used to unthread the inner tie-rod (channel-lock or pipe wrench - it appears round). Do you also put a wrench on the steering rack to hold it steady ?

Channel lock on inner rod only. If you need to hold the rack steady, you have other issues to address as well.
