flashing AC and Rec lights only when the outside temperature is below freezing 850 1995

In my 1995 850 turbo sedan, the AC and Rec lights flash for ~ 20 seconds only when the outside temperature is 32 F or lower (i.e., below freezing). They never do when the outside temperature is above freezing. I have checked the code and it is 122 (which is not listed in the related Hynes book). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

131k miles and loving it!

If you got the 1-2-2 code from the B1 socket it's the Outside Air Temp sensor. Big surprise ! It's located in the inlet opening for the outside air, under the plastic shroud at the base of the windshield, where the cabin air filter should be. It might just be unplugged if anyone has been working in that area. Remove the windshield wipers and the plastic cowl shroud to get to it.
