Radio with cd player 850 1997

One of the buttons for station selection stopped functioning. I disconnected the battery and then reconnected it, but when I went to put in the code, low and behold, one of the numbers in the code is the button that did not function. Is there a way to fix this?

    Rick,
    Now you will have to take it out, take the face plate off and figure out why the number doesn't work. Usually a dirty contact. It is always better to disassemble non-working things to find fixes than just trade it in for a new one. You can always do that later.

    From what I have heard, when this happens your radio head is toast.
    Common problem with the SC-8** radios.
