Has anyone out there ever tried these new fangled LED 1156 bulbs in
their 850? I just happened to come across them on EBay and always
like to be seen from the rear, especially in foul weather.

Your lights out warning indicator will be on, due to the different impedence and voltage of the leds

But you can add a resitor to that particular leg and solve that problem. I have done it on semi's.

Did you read the "Note" at the bottom of the description about relays etc. My local parts stores haven't started carrying them.It is strange that they are a single filament as they are diodes
