Turbo oil line leak on a R AWD???? V70-XC70

OK....as my R AWD seems to bee leaving a quarter size spot every time i park,
it appears to be the famous turbo line oil leak described on Bay13. My question is Bay 13 shows a standard turbo, not an AWD. When I looked under my AWD, it for some reason looks impossible to do!! Any insights appreciated.!!!!!

I've done this twice. It's extremely challenging for such a simple repair. Make sure you have a good assortment of 1/4" drive extensions, a standard hex key and a plenty of patience. A ball-end hex key might help but I didn't have one. It's like building a ship in a bottle but you do most of the repair by feel as you can't see a thing with your hand or tools in there. Buy 2 of the seals in case you screw one up. You'll need to gently bend that coolant (?) line which bothered me but has caused no problems. The Bay 13 instructions are a great help.

Turbo oil line leak on a R AWD????---> hopefully...how about a rear main seal? V70-XC70

It is definitely harder on the AWD. There are pics of the appearance on Bay13 at

Here is a link for the 2001 AWD

Mine has dripped a drop every week or so for years, but this past week there were small puddles on the garage floor...Uh Oh...one quick look underneath and my fears were confirmed, a rear main seal leak. I took it down to the dealer (first trip in over a year) and had them change the RMS, axle seals, and angle drive seals. Total damages $1011. Not too bad. I then drove it 750 miles this past weekend and it is dry as a bone underneath.

Turbo oil line leak on a R AWD????---> Doug V70-XC70

I saw the 2001 pictures but it looks that much different to me. Its definitely not a RMS as that end/bottom to the case is nice and dry. The rear mains were pretty bad on the 850's but they didi something to improve on the 70 series!
Amazing.........your $1100 bill was probably $100 in parts....the rest labor!
How many miles on your ride when this happened? I have almost 120K now!
