Front Brake replacement S80 1999

Something happened to my left outside front brake pad. I started hearing a grinding sound(metal on metal), and found that the outside rotor has a groove cut about in the middle of it. How difficult is it to chang brake pads? Also do I have to get the rotor cut to remove the groove, and do I need to do both front wheels. I think all the other pads are in good shape. Thanks for the help!

    Depends on the number of miles you have on your fron rotors. Yes, both sides have to be done and changing the pads is easy. The rotors are a little more involved. If the rotors are within spec, they could be milled, but they don't cost an arm and a leg for OEM.
