I didn't see any mention yet but what I have found out. The bolt pattern for 01 and up cars is a 5-108 (for the S60/ V70 as well as the S40/ V50 - but the wheels are not transferable due to the percent "offset". The earlier 850s that have 5 bolts are also a 5-108 pattern but again, may or may not accept wheels and tires from ealier 5-108 cars. The easiest way I have found to see if wheels will fit one car to another is to do a search on tirerack by vehicle and see if the same wheels show up for both cars.

No one here has mentioned the number of bolts. In the early days of 850's there were 4 bolt wheels...then it changed to 5 bolt in the middle of the '94 production. Please make sure your's is 5 bolts, otherwise what others have said here so far do not apply. All S70 and V70's have 5 bolt wheels as well as most, but not all 850's. Once everything went to 5 bolts, the patterns are the same.

Since the beginning of time, Volvo had been recommending 185/65 winter tires on 15' wheels. If you have 15" winter wheels...

If your car has 280mm brake rotors.

If your car has the 302mm brake rotors, I'm not too sure that 15" wheels will clear them.

Yes the bolt pattern is the same . If the V70 has 205 55 16" then the 850 tires should be 195 60 15"
