Hello,
I am trying to figure out if my recently purchased car has a stock ECU, or an upgraded(or chipped) one. The ecu in the slot closest to the engine has no brand markings(Volvo, IPD.....) just numbers and barcodes. They are as follows:
P01275107 CP01
IT2653563 T94311135

and "8.2" in large numbers

The car has a "T5R" emblem on the tailgate, which I have dismissed as being stuck on. The car is blue, has 16"wheels. The engine code indicates Turbo but not R.

Any help with this will be appreciated.

It is stock. Just like mine, the last series of numbers starting with T9 are different, but that could be a sequence number. R has the same motor as a normal T5 or Turbo and they came with 16" wheels in 1995. The R has different leather seats with suede on the outside bolsters, I believe.

Thanks for your response, and help with identifying my ECU.

It it my impression that the R's from 1995 only came as a racey package in the yellow or black....am I mistaken? Were there R's made that look like mine? Or did someone stick the T5R on the tailgate?

This is volvo's site. All Rs have stainless steel sil plates. 17" wheels were a no cost option.
