C70 vs Saab Viggen Convertable C70

I am torn between the purchase of either of these as my next car. Any thoughts in why C70 over the Saab. reliabity? durability? Cost to maintain/repair. Tx I have a 89 745 tic W/210k miles db

C70 vs Saab Viggen Convertable C70

That Viggen has pretty outrageous performance, it's really a hot ride. I suspect the C70 will be more stately, but still plenty quick. Cost to maintain will be high for either car. Viggens have known issues such as easily-bent rims and possibly headgaskets, if the car was driven hard (why else buy a Viggen?) and not well cared for. A normal 9-3 convertible might be a better choice, and it will be more of an apples-to-apples comparison with the C70.

Search this forum for info on the C70. It doesn't seem to be well-loved by brickboarders re: its many reliability issues.

You may wish to post this question on www.saabnet.com as well. It's a great resource, like Brickboard.
