CRUISE CONTROl and AIR PUMP

I have had problmes with cruise control and tried the approach by Klaus with no results. Every 10 times activated, the Cruise may work only once.

I have checked the following diagram:

Just a survey...how many of you have had:

1. Air Pump (that sits below the battery) failure
2. Cruise Control Module failure
3. Brake switch Failure
4. Vacuum Actuator Failure

5. Any other failures that explain the problem.

TIA

the air pump near the battery is not for the cruise control, that pump is for the secondary air system for evap emmissions.

CRUISE CONTROl and AIR PUMP

The air pump in my 1998 V70 XC went out a few years ago. It is still out. I had problems with the check valve when the car was still under warnty. Pump went out after that.
Additionally, I have had to replace the brakes every 30K miles, have numerous problems with the window washer system, air conditioner evap has leaks, transmission shifts hard at times, had to weld part of the frame where the front door attaches because it broke, etc...

Did you change your own air pump? How difficult was it?
