Service Light and road noise. S60 2003

I've owned many Bricks, 122,240, 740,760 and 960. This is my first FWD. Car seems solid. Any idea how to shut off the service light? I do my own and it annoys me. Also, the car has lots of road noise. It has the Michelins that came new. Anyone else have the same problem?
Thanks

Service Light and road noise. S60 2003

Greetings,

I found a "Tech Tip" on the IPD website last year (www.ipdusa.com) on how to reset the service light for the S60. Just tried to access it again and could not find it. Perhaps IPD took it off the site. The procedure involved the Tip Meter Reset Button and the Key Position of the Ignition Switch in a series of steps.

Have not tried this, no guaratees:

1) Turn ignition key to position I (off).
2) Press and hold trip meter reset button.
3) Turn ignition switch to position II.
4) Continue holding trip meter button for about 10 seconds.
5) After SRL flashes, release trip meter button.
6) You should hear a beep-beep to confirm command accepted.

Don't skip the prescribed service as outlined in your owner's manual.

Only slightly more complicated than the reset button on my 940.
