Good Portland, OR Volvo shops 850 1995

Hi everyone,
I know there is a list of shops/mechanics on the site and I've looked at it, but I was hoping some of you might have a good and reasonably priced shop or mechanic you trust working on your Volvo to suggest to me. I'd love to hear comments about the shops listed on the brickboard too. I live south of Portland, but am open to mechanics anywhere in or around the city, I love my 850, but am too strapped for cash to waste it on lousy or dishonest shops. Thanks,
-P

Two other repair shops I have used are Peter's in Tigard and Mercy Motive in Canby. Both a very reliable and honest. Then of course if your handy, do it yourself if you have the time and tools:) Volvo's in my opinion are fun to work on.

thanks for the info! I'll check them out. I have some mechanical abilities and do try to do work myself, but there are some things I would rather have a mechanic diagnose and then possibly fix.

Try MVP Volvo Repair. They are located on Barbour Blvd, west of I5, just a few minutes south of Portland. I have used them for about four years on our 1995 850-turbo wagon.

They have always been honest and reliable. I’ve actually had them tell me that a part did not need to replaced – what a concept.

Their number is 503.892.9405. Good luck.

Thanks a bunch. I always like to hear about places that tell you when you don't need work done. I think I'd seen their name come up somewhere else too.
