Radio removal V70-XC70 1999

I need to service the radio but can't figure out how to remove it. I found the little pop out tabs on each side but am afraid to pull to hard. Is there a special technique or tool?

Once the plastic tabs are extended, just pull on them and the radio will come out. If it is stubborn, then push the radio in just a mm while still pulling on the tabs. Its supposed to just slide out.
