Knocking noise at low speed S60 2001

for your info

Had the car for service.

Knocking noise was finally the left front stabilization rod (that makes 3 out of 4 replaced now).

The small cut in the thin rubber part of the upper engine mount is no problem: as expected this thin part has no structural function.

Rusty wheel nuts (also a topic heard many times) have been replaced by chromium ones.

regards,

Dutch

You mean the sway link bar that links the sway bar to the steering knuckle. I've had 3 Volvo's and a BMW, and the same part fails very frequently.

I'm not sure, anyway it is a vertical bar about 30 cms, I thought connected to the suspension on one side and at the other side connected to a stab bar going to the other wheel.
