ABS light and lifter noise V70-XC70

help -- love my v70 glt -LPT (137k miles) -- but I have the eratic on and off ABS light? driveing along it will come on and go off ?, some times stay on for days and then off for days - but it will go on and off while driving ( no igniton on/ off durring this ) any i ideas ??

next I think the lifter/ cam noise is louder than it used to be - I have heard of replacing the o ring on the pickup tube in the oil pan ? - what is involved the r&r of the oil pan ? -

    You need your ABS module rejuvinated by Victor. He will send you details on removal and reinstall. BTW, your rear brake pads will take a beating when the ABS malfunctions, check them when you get your refurbished ABS module installed.

    Depending on the wieght of your motor oil and the outside temperature, your hydraulic lifters will clatter longer the colder it is outside. Change your oil to 5W30 synthetic, and that should help.

      victor will email me?? - i am in orange county CA -
      On the oil - I have been using valvoline durablend 10-40//10-30 ( change every 3k w/filter - mann ) with no leaks or burning so far but I have the lifter noise?
      what syn are you useing? or recomend for high - well mid life v70 (137k miles )
      I have replaced the rotors & calper brackets in front with 302mm and the front and rear driled and sloted- will this affect the abs??

        Isn't it nice to live in a warm climate? The oil pan is hard to get off because of the cross member. I am using Mobil1. I don't know if the 302's will have an effect on the abs, should not.

          went to wall mart - mobil 1 has a bunch of diffrent syn oils ? 0-20 5-30 10-30 all kinds of deffernt weaghts - for a older 98 2.5 lpt motor i dont know were to start //137k miles -- how do i contact the guy on the ABS repair ? thanks much
