Anyone have Koni's installed?? S70 1998

Howdy,
I own a '98 T5 for about 3 years now and love it. However I recently ruptured a disc and she rides alittle too harsh for me. I love the seats tho and just test drove several cars and the seats weren't even close to being as comfortable as my volvo's.

My dilema is to sell or not the sell the car. I have put some goodyear comfort treads on it which help alot on taking all the little bumps in the road, but is still harsh over the bigger bumps(I live in NJ...the roads are very bad here). I did have some Koni Sports installed about 2 years ago and I remembered that they made her ride harsher, but don't recall by how much.

I'm wondering if it is worth keeping her and installing stock shocks and struts? Will these make a big difference? I have my koni's on the softest setting right now.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Yo Han

I too have a 98 T5 and a bad back. I still have stock shocks at 68K and the car is not harsh except for potholes, etc. Mine has heated seats, which are a real help in soothing an aching back but, sometimes, nothing helps, even the Texas roads.

Some Koni's used to be adjustable, but that was decades ago. They can be harsh just as Bilsteins can be. Or you could move to TX where our roads are probably the best in the nation.

Take care of that back, you only get one--

Hey Dick,
thanks for the response. I plan on moving as soon ass I get this back all straighten out. Maybe not TX, but southboound for sure.

These are the yellow sports series? Bought them from tirerack 2 years ago, believe IDP carries them also.
