stalling, sputtering problem 850

I have a 1993 850 and I ran the front spoiler into a curb (i've done it before, car is low didn't think much of it). Afterwards however, the car's engine began sputtering and not being very responsive to giving the car gas. Is there a part in the front bottom area that could have been damaged? Now when i start it, i usually have to give it alot of gas to prevent it from stuttering and shutting down. the check engine light is on. Also, when i am idling the car often stalls and shuts off, but this doesn't seem to happen when i am moving / giving it gas. Please let me know if you can give me any possible scenarios before i take it to the shop, cause i don't know much about cars in general and don't want to get hosed. Thanks

Do yourself a favor, remove the splash guard behind the bumper - just two screws, one on each side. And take a look under the radiator on the driver's side.
If the check engine light is on, read the codes and find out what the computer is trying to tell you. Bay 13 has the code definitions listed on their site.

Next time... 850

just plain SMASH IT into the curb real hard so you'll just have to go buy a new car!

If it is a turbo you probably split the intecooler or perhaps knocked the lower charge air hose off.
