Blinking Transmission Arrow On Dash!!!... 850 1995

The blinking arrow means there's an error code stored in the computer for you to retrieve from the A-1 socket under the hood. There's no filter in the 850's transmission, so its very important to flush the tranny fluid every 25k miles. I would install a Magnefine inline filter in the return line too. Unless of course, you like buying trannies.

Probably a failing PNP switch. Quite common (how come a 95 has not
seen this before is what I wonder). Search on PNP or see:

It could be the PNP, but there are other reasons why the light may be on. Pull the codes to verify the problem. The instructions (and code definitions) can be found at volvospeed.
