front O2 sensor replacement advise 850 1995

I got 435 and 443 codes from A1 socket (cat and front O2 sensor), so I started to look for the part:FCP GROTON and EEUROPARTS both say that an extra harness is required w/ new sensor-is it true for 1995 non-turbo?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, that extra jumper harness acts as a barrier to oil getting to the sensor thru the wiring and making it fail. Factory fix.

Yes Larry is right on that. The new Volvo O2 sensors (front or rear) come with extension harnesses. And it is recommended when you install one on the front, it is ideal to put a extension harness on the rear O2 sensor if your not changing it.
