Hi Everyone!

Will a catalytic converter from a Canadian 1995 Volvo 850 be okay to put on a United States 1995 Volvo 850 Turbo? Are all catalytic converters made the same for all Volvos? Also, can my turbo take a cat from a non-turbo? My friend is from Canada and is putting on a performance cat. His is in great shape and I need one. I live in Massachusetts and I know they are strict on emissions here.
Sure would like to get this free stock cat!!!!!!!! If you can offer me any answers here, I sure would appreciate it!!!!!!!

Just went to FCPGroton... $269 for a turbo and $239 for a non-turbo. Guess they are different.

Do a google search for a cat and you will find new for less than $300. I used them on my 2 850s as they both failed MA inspection on the same day . Ouch! I believe Foreign Auto parts in Beverly sells for about the same price.

US & Canadian catalytic converters should be identical as for the pollution control but I think the mounting flanges are different because there's no rear oxygen sensors on canadian models from what I've heard sometimes ago.

Can you tell me if this cat will fit on my 1995 Volvo 850 Turbo or should I just buy a new one? I don't want it to be a big job to have to change everything around to fit this cat on.
