In the winter when it gets cold the shifter will not shift out of park untill the car warms up, usually about 3-5 min. It's a turbo and this has been going on for about one year. What are the possible causes of this irritating syndrome?

    check the switch mounted up aboce the brake pedal. When you depress the brake, it is supposed to disengage, releasing the shift lock. It get stuck in cold or humid weather.
