blower slow 850

I did not find exactly what I was searching for in the forums. My blower motor is controlled by the slide switch, and high speed on the detent. The blower works slow up to high, but not as high as it used to be. Perhaps 1/2 as well. I pulled the fuse for slow (11/5) and neither worked. I pulled the one for high (11/31) and neither worked (low or high). There does not seem to be any bearing problem dragging it down. Any ideas?

Check for corroded connections to the blower motor. You can also remove the blower motor and clean up the commutator and bearings. In my case some water had gotten in and everything was kind of oxidized. I cleaned everything with 600 grit wet sandpaper. This has lasted several months so far. If you don't know how to get the blower out check on Bay13.

Thank you. This makes sense. The resistance must be greater with corroded connnections because the high speed is obtained w/o resistance. Yes, I have looked at bay 13 and it helped because I was initially uncertain about removing the bolster. This is a great use of the internet.
