help installing 3rd seat HELP!!!! V70-XC70

I have a 1998 XC V70, I got the 3rd seat all installed BUT I can't figure out how to make the back rest "stay" in place. any one have any idea's or a manual they would be willing to share?

    I hold mine up with a bungie cord.

    I cut a hole in the back of the middle seat, but there was nothing for the catch to grab.

      I removed and reinstalled mine and it is interesting. At the elbow brace on each side is a 6" long wire, with several kinks in it. When the back is up, the wire lets latch drop into a slot that holds the side brace stiff. There is a cam that controls it. If it was not snowing now I would go out and do a little more descriptive since it has been several months since I reinstalled it. If you don's get it in e-mail me in a day or so.

        THANKS! I figured it out and got it all installed WITHOUT my husbands help, I'm very proud of myself *grin*
